Online, March 21, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Jackie Watson, the French reporter, had the opportunity to sit down and speak with 'God's Not Dead 2' cast members and celebrities, Melissa Joan Hart and Jesse Eden Metcalfe.

Melissa, who plays Grace, and Jesse, who plays Tom, talked about what attracted them to this script and why they chose to play roles in a film that is sure to bring both controversy and judgment upon the cast members and filmmakers alike. Melissa said that she felt 'called' to play the role of Grace and that she felt this would be a movie which has a great story to tell. She explained how she was not at a great place in her life when this role came to her and that she had to make some life adjustments. She is not concerned about the controversy or persecution that might be placed upon her for starring in the movie; in fact, she welcomes it head-on.

Jesse feels that the story is timely and poignant and that it helps open up a conversation that he feels we all need to have in this country. He also liked the character that he played and he resonated with the role. Jesse prepared for the role of Tom by relying on his own personal experiences with God. Five years ago, Jesse battled for sobriety. Through his battle, Jesse learned how to turn his will and care over to God.

'God's Not Dead 2' is the sequel to 'God's Not Dead.' The movie centers on Grace a Christian teacher, who is persecuted and forced before a court of law for honestly answering a question about Jesus in the classroom.

'God's Not Dead 2' will be impacting viewers nationwide in theaters on April 1st.
